Whether YOU are planning to visit Namibia for the first time or you are a multiple return-visitor, both of you will have something in common soon: You'll be in love with Namibia, ... probably for life.
We are too, and we would like to share this love with you.
We are Claudia & Wynand du Plessis, nature photographers and ecologists, who have lived more than 20 years in Namibia. Ten years of it we've worked as conservation scientists in the Etosha National Park on various projects, including fire management, lion population, animal migrations and more.
Another ten years we've dedicated to our business of nature photography, having written & published a coffee-table book on Etosha, maps on Namibia, postcards, calendars & more. Our images have also been used widely in international magazines & books.
All in all it has been more than 10,000 hours - ... and that's probably a major undercount - that we've been out in the wilderness observing & photographing Namibia's grand nature.
The result is thousands of images from Namibia that we'd like to share with you with the aim of inspiring you about Earth's beautiful wildernesses, in particular about Namibia's magnificent nature.
Enjoy the journey through our website
... and through Namibia.
Humans have always been fascinated by elephants. Also for us each encounter with these gentle giants has been a highlight in the African bush.
Besides their sheer body mass it was espcecially the elephants' tight family bonds within the herd, their ability to feel deep emotions and their intelligence that inspired and awed us.
In this calendar "Elefanten / Elephants 2015" we present some of the best images, that we have taken during our many years of living in the Etosha National Park in Namibia - again in black & white.
Get your copy of this special calendar NOW - it is only a small number of copies available.
